We all know how Americans like to do things their way, including how to say kratom. When it comes to this beloved plant, the most common variation is to pronounce it like kray-tom. When in Asia
If you happen to find yourself in Southeast Asia, they have their own way to say kratom. You would think this is the authoritative way to pronounce it since this is where kratom originates. However, even they have a couple of ways. When in Asia, you might hear kratom said without the “r,” as in ket-um. It rhymes with “get ‘em.” In some areas, you come across folks saying kruh-tome. Some people even pronounce kratom with no “k” at all and with a “g.” Imagine that!
